Technical Leader – Backend Team

By joining our Engineering team, you will be working with talented individuals grouped in small independent agile teams (squads) that each have strong ownership. Our technology is composed of Swagger, Docker, Gitlab, Java, Swift, Couchbase, etc. with lots of PHP and JavaScript in it. Our upcoming projects include the expansion of our mobile apps and the migration of our current framework to Symfony.
About the role
As a Technical Leader you’ll ensure both technical and technological expertise on our platform. You’ll closely work with our Technical Leaders, Team Leaders, Architects, DevOps, Operational Team and have a deep work connection with the Product Team.
What you’ll be doing
- You’ll build great features and products with a clean code in friendly collaboration.
- You’ll own Vestiaire Collective technical strategy. Therefore, you’ll acquire a strong knowledge of our technical platform to keep an excellent performance, quality and security on your dedicated scope.
- You’ll drive our platform technological evolutions by giving recommendations and collaborating with Team Leaders and Architects.
- As a privileged and qualitative speaker for both Product and Operational team, you’ll proactively evaluate technical feasibilities, participate to functional projects definition and be able to suggest technical solution to complex situations.
- You’ll work in a agile environment and ensure that you and your squad is fully supporting the Scrum methodology.
Who you are
- You’ve been actively working as a tech leader for 3+ years.
- You can analyze the big picture, design enterprise services, implement and prove your code is great, because this is what you do. You code and know things ;)
- You do not need to be micromanaged; to accomplish team and company goals, you can wear multiple hats and pickup new technologies and languages.
- You can lead technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions.
- Seasoned PHP developer with strong notions in some of: Symfony, Angular, Node.js, MariaDB, Swagger, GitLab, Docker or NoSQL databases.
- You have a strong business sensitivity and understand the importance of delivering values to the end-users.
- Computer science degree or equivalent work experience
- Great experience in an agile organization is required!
