Business Analyst with Tableau & Spotfire Skills

• Bachelors/Masters in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Experience; 5 6 Years in Business Analysis Experience with Tableau, Spotfire, SQL, ETL,
• Work Location: Houston, TX
• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience in End to End Project Management with Tableau, Spotfire development with Business Exposure on Onsite presence.

• Requirement Gathering, Business Analysis, Design, Quality Assurance and develop user interfaces, reports, dashboards and visualizations and create data models and views to feed the user interfaces from Databases using Tableau, SQL and ETL jobs.

• Ability and Experience to guide the Offshore Teams for the projects.

• Translate the business requirements to project plan, schedules and models for dashboard implementations.

• Be able to code in Tableau for analytics and data visualizations requirements

• Resolve technical issues, ex. Discrepancies between raw and transformed data in Spotfire

• Must have Engineering / Hi-Tech Industry Maintenance Service domain experience.
• Work with Manufacturing Business Project Managers, Productivity Leaders and Module teams to identify projects which can be pulsed.
• Work with Shop black belts, Engineers and Repair teams to collect data on scrap causes, scrap savings and new repair cost estimates.
• Performing cost research and bench mark studies by working with Productivity teams
• Designing new processes and applications for Productivity Project Implementations.

• Assess, source and load data provided by Client, Cleanse data and Model data

• Determination of solution success criteria, experience with Scenario analysis

• Strategically coordinate with Customer Teams to ensure all projects deliverables are accurate, documentation properly recorded and final product meet standards and contractual requirements.

• Capturing and consolidation of requirements

• Design and build of visualization and user experience

• Strong analytical capability in Mathematics/Statistics and applied fields
• Strong experience doing Exploratory Analysis for large datasets
• Ability to understand and get involved in Complex problem solving with stakeholders
• Expert level Work experience presenting data on Tableau/ Spotfire and other Data Visualization tools.
• Must have Working knowledge of ETL tools and their architecture, ETL Job Scheduling Tableau/ Spotfire linkages to various types of databases.

Job Requirements:

Mandatory Skills:  

• Ability to Design, develop and performance tune Tableau/ Spotfire Reports with SQL, Database feeds and ETL job scheduling.

• Ability to design and Model data within Tableau/ Spotfire for better performance and Quality.

• Strong Business Analysis skills for requirement gathering, project management and quality assurance.

Additional Skills:

• Ability to work on integrating the results of statistical models built in R using Statistical functions or Statistical services.

• Ability to develop functions or custom code using Iron Python or R within Tableau/ Spotfire

• Good Communication skills

• Should have experience working with offshore teams.

• Analytical Mind, Reasoning skills, Proactive, Self-Starter, Ability to work with larger team, Work Under Pressure.
