Day-to-day
As a Mission Critical Engineer at Optiver, you have a wide variety of tasks and wear many hats, but share a common goal with your fellow colleagues: making sure our trading systems perform well, regardless of the load that comes from trading. You’ll face both ultra-low-latency and high-throughput challenges, and have to balance innovation with stability. We’re looking for true problem solvers who’ll pick the right tool and approach for the job.
Your main expertise may lay in Networking, Windows, Linux, Desktops, Storage, Databases or Automation, but you’ll never silo yourself into only knowing one thing. If you’ve got the right mindset, are goal oriented and enjoy working on critical systems, we want you on our team. We’ll find a spot where you can excel and further develop your craftsmanship.
To sum up
- You’re pretty good with some (not all, we won’t believe you) of the following: operating systems, networking, scripting languages, storage or databases solutions
- You like to solve problems

No prior trading experience is needed – our on-boarding program will kick-start your career at Optiver and support you in building the knowledge about our business.
