Job Title: C++ Developer
Location: Austin, TX 78731
Contract Length: 8 months
Description:
- Team-based developer for coordination of agency modifications in a collaborative development environment.
- Develops and documents user requirements and technical specifications and solutions in coordination with end user subject matter experts.
- Designs and codes solutions to satisfy proposed and approved changes to meet project code and design standards.
Responsibilities:
*Provide C++ development skills to support engineering applications.
*Contribute in the gathering requirements and creation of documentation, user interface design, system architecture design and development of many major system components in the program including UI, an HTML reporting system, and engineering analysis components
*Analyze software complexity and select the best algorithms and tools to meet performance criteria
*Participate in managing agency enhancement requests within the overall context of a robust software development stream managed through an open-source effort
Basic Qualifications:
*C++ experience, 5 years
*Object-oriented programming and design, 3 years
*Graphical programming (Objective GRID), 2 years
*MFC experience, 2 years
*Sr. Visual Studio developer, COM, XML
Nice to have:
* HTML/CSS
* Wix Installer
* CVS code repository
* Scripting (DOS Batch, Jscript, VBA)
* Bridge Engineering
* Structural Engineering
* AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
Preferred familiarity
* Release and deployment management
* Software specification and design authoring
* Bridge or construction engineering exposure
* CAD development
* Strong mathematical skills
* FORTRAN language experience
