About the Role:
You will work closely with software developers, project managers, and product managers to create high-quality products that safeguards lives and business assets. You will interact and collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams in different geographic locations.
You succeed in this position by having great attention to detail, in addition to being able to identify system-wide dependencies. You wear two pairs of shoes, the customers and your own, and you believe that an intuitive design is the best design. You recognize the importance of performance, stability, and uptime for security systems. You enjoy finding creative solutions to a wide-range of testing challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- design, document, and perform tests for Avigilon products
- Create and maintain documentation on test and development operations
- Perform functional testing on feature deliveries
- Ensure bug-free feature integration through regression testing
- Execute system testing for new releases
- Debug, model and characterize product performance and scalability
- Provide detailed configuration, reproduction steps, and descriptions for defect tracking
- Develop, maintain and execute automated tests
- Design and develop tools or simulators to facilitate testing
- Liaise between several product development teams to upkeep product quality
Qualifications:
- e in a computing, engineering, science, or math discipline Has 5
- + years of demonstrated experience in a testing role
- Experience with software development lifecycles and product deliveries
- Experience in manual and automated RESTful API and web application testing
- Experience with web automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver
- Experience with CI tools to automate workflows
- Is familiar in: JavaScript, C#, Python, shell scripting
- Comfortable setting up and maintaining computer hardware, operating systems and networks to support testing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise documentation
Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Working experience with automation tools and frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in software development including code repositories and version control
- Experience with surveillance and security products
- Experience with using and testing Cloud services such as Azure, AWS, GCP
- Experience with virtualization configuration and deployment
