Associate Site Reliability Engineer at Exact Sciences (Salt Lake City, UT)

Summary Of Major Responsibilities
This position is focused on providing input and gaining experience in supporting the strategic direction and execution of infrastructure security, continuous integration, software deployments, and IT operations best practices. The Associate Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for running day to day operations of development, test, and QA infrastructure in Amazon Web Services (AWS), and will be expected to assist with production deployments and incidents as needed.
Include But Are Not Limited To The Following
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to work with and use Amazon Web Services or other Cloud technology platforms, Ansible Python, Bash, Java Tomcat, Linux
• Understanding of security and encryption best practices
• Participate in daily standups, tech talks, sprint planning, and backlog grooming sessions
• Ability to assist during software deployments that occur during nights and weekends
• Design and enhance cloud resource inventory management software to improve visibility for operations teams, development teams, and QA teams
• Write code for automated provisioning and operating cloud infrastructure at massive scale. You are not an operator, youre a trained software engineer focused on operations
• Work with development teams to gather infrastructure requirements for their applications to perform efficiently with a focus on reliability and scalability
• Support automated build pipelines to enable development and QA teams to deliver and deploy applications to test environments
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Support and comply with the companys Quality Management System policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer sciences or related field; or high school degree/general education diploma and 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Work or formal classroom experience with modern application design and cloud environments
• Work or formal classroom experience with software development and operations teams
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful completion of software programming coursework or self-guided project in Python or Go
• A desire to implement DevOps practices and Agile software development
