Software Engineering (MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE) at JP Morgan Chase (Tampa, FL)

Duties: Participate in every phase of the software delivery lifecycle, and deliver high-quality software application development work within specified timelines. Gather and analyze business requirements, build code, and design and develop software applications. Understand and apply reusable code design to leverage application architecture and framework capabilities. Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Analyze test results and recommend modifications to the applications and databases in order to meet project specifications. Perform production support, and ensure that all solutions are aligned to architectural standards and security policies. Collaborate with business users, business analysts, system architects, and product/project managers throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as Software Developer, Module Lead, Programmer/Technology Analyst, Associate - Projects, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as Software Developer, Module Lead, Programmer/Technology Analyst, Associate - Projects, or related occupation in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience.
 

Skills Required: This position requires experience with all of the following skills: designing, developing, testing, performing quality assurance, and implementing software applications or systems; processing/tuning large volumes of data in a day (100 million rows+); Informatica PowerCenter Suite; Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; Control-M or other scheduling tool; Linux/Unix; Shell scripting; and software delivery lifecycle in large warehouse environments.
