Working as a Senior Front End Developer with GroupBy you will use your experience in Javascript web development to help evolve our customer’s ecommerce experience using our suite of front-end and back-end platforms. You will work on cutting edge, large ecommerce websites for leading global ecommerce companies. As part of our delivery team, you will have a chance to shape the end-user journey from both technical and business perspectives, and contribute to the product evolution.
What you'll be doing:
- Be a senior web developer that helps our teams deliver e-commerce experiences to our clients
- Write website code using a Riot based framework to support cross-device, cross-browser compliant user actions based off provided requirements
- Work with UX specifications and deliver on clean and responsive front-end (HTML, CSS) code to customer specifications
- Be a senior in our organization - you will have the chance to grow and mentor our front end teams to apply best practices
- We are a product company primarily: you will have the opportunity to contribute back to product/framework that’s internal to our company, as well as drive the roadmap of what products should do
- Participate in projects within our delivery organizations and work with project managers, technical consultants, data and QA teams to deliver to client requirements

You already have these skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Javascript web development, at least 3+ using frameworks other than jQuery
- Experience of building websites that leverage REST APIs for render and functionality
- Experience working to UI specifications and identifying gaps in UX/UI specs provided
- Experience in assessing scope and deadlines and working to them
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyze performance using dev tools to help ensure websites are performant (e.g. for memory consumption or network performance)
- Strong client-facing, presentation and relationship skills
- Very strong English verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with development in teams using Version Control systems, such as Git
And these are an asset:
- Agency experience
- LESS/SASS experience.
- Experience in creating SPA websites or working on items related to the ecommerce industry
- Familiarity with riot.js
- Experience with React, Angular or other large front-end frameworks
- Comfortable developing an application that leverages webpack, NPM, yarn or other package managers
- Experience of creating responsive/mobile-first design, web standards, UI/UX best practices
- Bachelor degree or higher in a related vocation
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites
