We’re now looking to take the next step in building the team - WayBetter is looking for an experienced VP of Product Design to grow and lead the product design team, establishing best practices. This will be a leader and a strategic visionary, but someone who is also extremely comfortable diving into the day to day. This role will evangelize design at WayBetter, while ensuring that the customer is at the forefront of everything we do.
Responsibilities
- Attract and build a talented team of product designers
- Lead, mentor, and support a growing product design team
- Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure a seamless product development process from discovery to launch
- Offer and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise the bar for design quality
- Advance a strong point of view, supported by customer insights, design principles, and industry trends
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of design experience on consumer mobile products
- 5+ years managing designers and leading a design team
- History of creating effective product design processes, from UX to visual design
- Experience leading user research and user testing efforts
- Strong skills in interaction design and information architecture
- Ability to empathize with users with varying backgrounds and needs
