DUTIES:Contribute to teams responsible for building the components of X1 Guide platform that enables customer interactions with their Set-Top Box; utilize OpenStack, AWS, and VSphere for full-stack development of consolidated tools that support the agnostic cloud deployment, configuration, and dashboard analytics of the X1 Guide servers, which support up to 28 million customers; participate in code reviews with other developers and engineering managers; work with developers, QA testers, product owners, and product managers to establish data contracts, develop and refine software using Agile methodologies, and deploy applications using Jenkins; gather user requirements, and analyze and design mock-up user interfaces (UIs) using Balsamiq and HTML5/CSS; utilize JavaScript, JQuery, and NodeJS to develop and test user back-end services; perform automated testing of APIs and manual testing of UIs; document, develop, and present platform features to teams and stakeholders; respond to and fix software defects in a timely fashion, including troubleshooting and debugging routine issues; and research and present new tools for integration into our existing practice.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and one (1) year of experience in Agile software development; deploying applications using Jenkins; performing automated testing of APIs and manual testing of UIs; utilizing Balsamiq and HTML5/CSS to design UI mock-ups; and utilizing JavaScript, JQuery, and NodeJS.
