We're looking for an experienced DevOps engineer to help build the world's best software platform for energy brokers. Our current technology stack consists mostly of Django / Python, jQuery, and Postgres. Our infrastructure is currently running on AWS and managed using a custom Fabric-based deployment toolkit.
The Position
We’re looking for a developer who fits with our culture for a full-time position in our Center City office. You'll be working closely with our CTO and engineering team to modernize our AWS infrastructure and libraries, streamline deployment processes, and generally Make Things Run Good. 2019 will be the year we move from a multi-instance to multi-tenant architecture, integrate Docker, and upgrade to Django 2.2 and Python 3.7—this is a great chance to dive deep into EC2 and RDS and guide the growth of an up-and-coming startup (another investment round is planned next year as well).

We don’t have game stations or foosball tables yet but that doesn’t mean we don’t have fun. In fact, we have jaunts out to Deer Valley, Utah, where we can work amongst 8–10,000-foot mountains (and ski!), a flexible WFH policy, plenty of snacks, and more.
The Skills
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration
- Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or an equivalent
- Strong experience building and designing production-ready, scalable and fault-resistant AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, CloudFront, etc.)
- Ability to design and manage CI / CD pipelines (We use Buildbot but are open to others)
- Strong grasp of modern Python development, preferably with Django
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes or other containers not necessary but preferred
