Critical Mass’s Toronto office is looking for a Core Java Tech Lead to join our growing team for a contract through the end of February with the possibility of extension. This is an exciting opportunity as we build new team to service one of the most iconic automotive brands. As Tech Lead you’ll be in charge of the day-to-day – overseeing the technology team and working to improve the process and systems we use to deliver. We have the ability to determine and quickly evolve the systems and process used to deliver our work, so you’ll be able to have an immediate impact. More important than any particular technical skill, ideal candidates will be able to deftly troubleshoot and problem solve – both technical and process issues.As Tech Lead you’ll partner with a Technical Director & Project Manager to allot work and coordinate releases. POCs, DevOps, etc. Your team will have all the skills necessary from back-end talent to operational support including QA and DBA.
YOU WILL:
- Lead a technology team to create engaging, reliable, high-performance digital experiences
- Work with the Technology Director on strategic initiatives and campaign work
- Partner with the Project Manager, QA Lead, and Ops team to release code
- Contribute to solution architecture designs and lead code reviews
- Be a liaison to the offshore development team
YOU HAVE:
- Experience leading teams in developing Microservices
- Adobe Experience Manager expertise on version 6.0 or later
- Experience with large scale B2C websites written in Java or deployed on AEM
- Experience with Springboot or Spring
- Familiarity with website operations and fluency in the typical tiers on a high traffic website
- Detailed problem solver and troubleshooting experiencing
- Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools – JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, HipChat, etc.
BENEFICIAL SKILLS
- AEM Enterprise DAM experience
- Experience working on an automotive brand
- Agency experience preferred
