We’re growing our team and our software! We’re building a large scalable SaaS platform that includes react.js, node.js, postgres, and dynamodb. Plus, it’s all in the cloud with an ever-growing architecture.
As a Software Development Manager at Resolver, you’ll enable the success of passionate and talented developers. You’ll lead them through the entire development process to build new product features, while taking an active role in their own professional development.
Your Responsibilities
Technical Leadership (30%)
- Leads a team through the development of innovative software solutions
- Researches software components, architecture elements and new technologies
- Creates and maintains technical documentation
- Troubleshoot with customers to help identify and remediate issues (when required)
Programming (30%)
- Develops new user-facing features, from the database all the way up to the browser.
- Develops creative solutions that are maintainable, scalable and fast.
- Optimizes applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Team Management (20%)
- Manages the team’s agile process as part of the engineering leadership team
- Collaborates with the Product Team to create time estimates and delivery windows for releases
- Conducts code reviews, providing succinct and relevant feedback
- Prioritizes defects to fix and stabilize existing code
Team Building and Development (15%)
- Enables the team to maximize their impact by providing oversight, support and guidance.
- Mentors and coaches the team to achieve their key results and objectives
- Provides regular one-on-one feedback with the goal of improving performance while proactively seeking opportunities to celebrate wins within the team.
Your Background:
- 5+ years experience of full-stack development (and a love for JavaScript)
- 1-2 years experience managing (or coaching) developers
- Experience with AWS web application architecture
- A passion for creating beautiful testable code
- A strong distaste for spaghetti code
