As a BI Engineer (m/f) in the Data Analytics & Insights, you will be responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining the data warehousing, reporting and analysis infrastructure for business intelligence processes. You will transform the existing traditional BI infrastructure into a modern streaming- and cloud-based infrastructure. You will work together with big data engineers, machine learning engineers and data scientists, and develop together state of the art data-intensive analytic pipelines. You and the Data Analytics & Insights Team aim to solve the problems of a company that has begun the journey towards a data-driven and customer centric organization.


Your performance objectives


Starting from day one you will familiarize yourself with the existing traditional business intelligence infrastructure, as well as our big data ecosystem and tool stack.

Within the first 3 months, you create a good understanding of the existing business processes and data models, as well as develop concepts how to transform them into our streaming- and cloud-based ecosystem.

A year into the job you are an expert for business-critical processes and their technical implementation in our streaming- and cloud-based ecosystem.


Your profile



  • University degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in business intelligence 

  • Industrial experience of business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., Talend, MS SQL, Oracle Database, MySQL or others, Tableau) and readiness to learn some new

  • Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts, methodology, and theory

  • Experience in data migration and data integration

  • Good knowledge of Python and SQL

  • Knowledge on big data and cloud technologies like Spark, Kafka, and AWS services is a plus – the mindset to make this paradigm shift and the willingness to learn the new technologies is a must
