At LEAP Dev, our singular purpose is to help small law firms because they help people. Joining our web development team, you will make a direct impact on the efficiency and experience of hundreds of thousands of legal professionals and enable them to help millions of people in legal need. Legal tech is a fast-growing industry where LEAP Dev is proud to be a pioneer, redefining what is possible through innovation.
How will you contribute at LEAP Dev?
As a frontend software engineer, your day to day tasks will consist of analysing product requirements, identifying technical approaches, making practical choices amongst multiple solutions, and writing testable and maintainable code.
You will work closely with our designers and backend teams to make our software magical. Although you work in the frontend team, we would love to have your opinions on every aspect of the product. Here at LEAP Dev, we learn from each other all the time and we make any decision based on its merits and not the position of the person who suggested it.
You will not spend 100% of the time on your daily tasks. From time to time, you will look at the big picture to identify improvement areas or even a radically different way of doing things. We reward dearly what we call 10X ideas, ideas that help us perform 10 times better than others.
Does this sound like you?
You are a passionate software engineer who believes that product greatness is your goal. You value design principles over software frameworks, technical merits over programming languages. You think big, but you also understand what must be done well now and what can be improved later.
You are constantly curious about the software world and you can learn new concepts quickly with your strong foundation. You know that you only understand a problem well when you can communicate it clearly with your peers and people outside your team.
You possess respectable knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Object-oriented design principles
- Single page app design principles
- Angular framework
- Bootstrap framework
You have a good grasp of one-way data flow and have used this pattern via Ngrx or Redux.
Although not a must, your experience in backend development such as .NET or Node would be awesome too.
