This role is within our Consumer Connectivity Services (CCS) team, to reinvent the car ownership by making life less complicated for our customers and ultimately save their highly valued time. Whats in it for you?
This role is to be a consumer centric thought leader within the Consumer Insights & Business Development team, which has the responsibility of deriving, concluding and deploying consumer and business insights across all CCS activities. Consumer Insights & Business Analytics currently supports 5 product teams with Consumer Insights, supporting in the creation, development and nourishment of digital products. This role will work with the global and regional CI&BD teams in the Gothenburg, California and Shanghai, as well as collaborate with other consumer-oriented functions across Volvo Car Group.
The Sr. CI Manager is a role within the Consumer Insights & Business Development team within the Consumer Connected Services (CCS) Organization, which in turn is a part of the Consumer & Enterprise Digital (CED) and Global Consumer Experience Organizations.
Role is located either at our US office, Sunnyvale or at our Gothenburg Office.
What youll do
Build excellence in consumer insight and the market situation for the managed products
Build and Develop new processes for better understanding customer values, wants and needs
Support the development and anchoring of consumer insight driven communication strategies for CCS projects
Actively contribute to identifying and describing key consumer pain points and added value potential for luxury car consumers
Actively monitor relevant consumer trends
Act as a though-leader for consumer insights on digital services across Market Intelligence, Regions, Product Strategy, Corporate Communications, Global Marketing, and other key business units within VCC
Prepare guidelines and define initiatives for quantitative, qualitative, and ethnographic customer research to ensure a solid base for consumer insight development in concept projects
Independently and in collaboration with other affected organizations, deploy consumer research initiatives
Contribute to making a consumer-insight driven culture part of our ethos
Do you fit the profile?
Multidisciplinary degree with core in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Social Science or a related field
A minimum of 5+ years of consumer insights experience, specific experience from digital service experience design is a significant advantage
A broad experience of evaluative and formative qualitative research methods and comfortable planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research
Deep understanding of information design / architecture, gestalt principles, and user psychology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a great storyteller and communicator and can build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
