The team
You will be part of a team that is responsible for the video and image processing framework and the CPU subsystem software forming a technology platform. Our team takes huge responsibility in being a creative, technology hungry and experimenting team to make sure that only the best functionality is brought into the Axis product portfolio. Our ideas and actions give Axis competitive edge. The position is hands-on in a very skilled and technically strong team that values individual growth, teamwork and great spirit.
What's your responsibilities?
- Be a key player in the development process of latest imaging technology for our product platforms. Algorithms, image enhancements and technology development is key.
- Interact and discuss technology roadmaps, functionality and problems with our global chip platform partners.
- Experimenting and develop new functionality to enhance our technology portfolio as well as looking ahead and be part of the coming platforms and product launches.
- Investigate and develop image system frameworks including image sensors, image signal processing algorithm steps always considering high performance and quality aspects.
- Interact with and have focus on our product organization in regards of imaging platforms, optics and image sensor choices.
- See what's out there by monitoring and conducting studies that qualifies new exciting platforms for the video surveillance market, from an imaging quality and algorithm processing perspective.
- Develop and improve imaging features on camera platforms developed by Axis chip partners in close connection to the Axis SW and algorithm framework platform, balancing future product opportunities with HW possibilities and limitations.
- Push boundaries, learn a lot, aim for joint excellence and have fun!
Who are you?
You see yourself as a talented engineer with a genuine interest in imaging and signal processing. You are a highly motivated and strong image system engineer with passion for algorithm processing, image evaluation, troubleshooting and software development in C programming language. You always take full responsibility to deliver top quality solutions for Axis with high work pride in our team and together with our platform partners.
In this position you will occasionally travel to vendors in US and Asia to work with our imaging systems to evaluate, set requirements and make sure that we together get the best possible products. Any experience from working with global vendors is therefore valuable.
You have a Master's or PhD degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering or similar and are a dedicated individual with a strong personal drive. Interaction with new people comes naturally for you. Your communications skills are on top with excellent English, both written and verbal.
