You will work in the DevOps team to play a leading role in the developing our DevOps practices and supporting the cloud transition and tools used across development teams. The role will evaluate new frameworks and tools to further DevOps / Cloud including containers and orchestration frameworks. The successful candidate will take ownership of assignments, analyze requirements, design and implement solutions. Projects are delivered using agile development practices.
Role Specific Accountabilities:
- Provide operational support for existing platforms/tools which may extend to some evenings and weekends.
- Coach and train people in cloud operations, infra as code principals and implementations
- DevOps Background, with experience with various forms of testing.
- Support and maintain AWS / GCP deployments
- Take a lead role in designing and building robust and scalable integration frameworks and tools to mature the DevOps practices in CPPIB
- Implement new frameworks and tools to advance DevOps practices across teams
- Provide subject matter expertise to stakeholders on a variety of DevOps collaborative platforms, industry best practices and emerging trends
- Take initiative to improve the way we do things, and to ensure that we work smart and build quality into everything we do
- Other duties as assigned

- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science
- 3+ years experience in developing applications and services
- 5+ years hands on experience to automate build, continuous integration and deployment processes with industry best practices and standards.
- Ability to provide concise and persuasive reasons on the established standards and guidelines to the application teams that have various levels of knowledge on the topics.
- Hands on experience in providing operational and administrative support for more than one enterprise level applications and vendor products: Apache, Continuous Integration tool (e.g. Jenkins), build (e.g. Maven, PIP), Artifactory, UrbanCode Deploy
- Strong knowledge in Linux based platforms required, some Windows based platform knowledge is needed
- Demonstrated knowledge in Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL
- Must have ability to multi-task
- Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
