- The leadership and management of all software (and selected multi-disciplinary) projects to ensure the effective functioning of the HPSNZ Innovation Engineering Team (known as Goldmine) and its impact on athlete performance
- Working with internal and external innovation colleagues create bespoke and world leading engineering solutions that will improve our nations sporting performance
Key Accountabilities
- As a key member of the HPSNZ innovation team, help create impactful solutions for sport driven innovation projects
- Horizon scan novel approaches to software development / implementation to share with the innovation team and key sports
- Benchmark our software systems and processes; ensuring consistent improvement of our performance within Goldmine and the wider system
- Oversee all software activities within the Goldmine programme. This includes line management of a small development team
- Analyse, design and supervise the development of the software component of selected innovation projects to meet the needs of targeted sports
- Forge positive working relationships Athlete Performance Support (APS) providers, Olympic medal campaign coaches, and High Performance Directors (HPD’s) in targeted sports
- Ensure the integrity and security of all Goldmine software / data
- Proactively examine the implemented Goldmine systems for areas of improvement.
