TITLE:Software Engineer.
DUTIES:Contribute to the Watchable Apps Team, responsible for developing and implementing user-facing client applications for the Watchable service, used on desktop browsers, mobile browsers, iOS, Android, and the X1 platform; utilize HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Ruby within Rails framework, Backbone.js, HTTP protocol, networking principles and technologies and Agile methodology to assist in designing and developing the Watchable service's user interface (UI), as well as its supporting application components and servers; utilize Git and GitHub services to conduct source control management operations; support the UI for a syndication platform used to distribute web video content to third-party websites; support usage metrics and analytics, social platform integration, and video playback operations; utilize and deploy Cloud services across developed technologies; assist in developing software for web clients, including user-facing software that supports desktop browsers, mobile browsers, and the syndication platform; assist with writing unit tests and triaging technical issues; and draft documentation for technical designs.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and one (1) year of experience utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript languages, Ruby within Rails framework, Backbone.js framework, HTTP protocol, Agile methodologies, and networking principles and technologies to develop software applications; developing web video distribution and playback technologies; utilizing Git and GitHub services to conduct source control management operations; and utilizing and deploying Cloud Services.
