Your new role
- Design, develop and maintain world class systems and services utilised within Latitude with focus on efficiency, scalability, stability and customer satisfaction
- Accelerate our core API developement in preparation for our first app release
- Interface with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
- Maintain and improve overall quality of the code base
- Integrate with internal and external systems
- Work closely with other teams to develop and document solutions to problems.
- DevOps mentality, you build it, you own it, you deploy it.
Technology
- Latitude is mostly a Java + AWS shop but most of the team are multilingual/polyglot programmers
- API development
- AWS API Gateway (with Lambda for policy / Cognito for authentication)
- Apigee SaaS
- Microservices
- Similar tools and platforms, with interest to master the above
- Definition of REST APIs must pass peer-validation for resource model identification and overall interface design.
- JSON, REST, SOAP, XML
- Data development
- Experience with Mongo DB/ Postgres DB/ other no SQL DB’s
- DynimoDB + S3 + other cloud native stores
- Kinesis, Spark, SNS, SQS
- Cloud/DevOps
- Code management using SVN/ Git/ Gitlab
- COTS AWS Orch - Involved in making a COTS cloud-fit (Auto-heal)
- COTS Config CD - continuously delivering Gateway config. across SDLC environments
- Experience with DevOps (DevSecOps) + CloudOps principals and practises
