Our mission is to design and build for the ever changing needs and demands of our customers. As software engineer, you will join a new project within the Zalando Fashion Store that redefines the online-shopping experience for the young customer. We focus on understanding the next generation of online shoppers - and then bring our assumptions and ideas to life. You will autonomously identify relevant services and integrate the frontend to the existing Zalando platform and enable us to rapidly prototype and test new features on the market.

You Are
Skilled. In developing backend microservices with a JVM-based language (Scala, Java, Clojure) and in designing distributed systems and scalable cloud architectures (Kubernetes and AWS).
Experienced. While AWS and Kubernetes are part of your daily routine, you also feel comfortable working with Node.js, PostgreSQL, Play and Akka.
Courageous. In taking ownership and being accountable for the results of your decisions.
