ROLE
As Kano continues to grow, we’re looking for a full-time Lead Frontend Developer to join us. This person should be a hungry, ingenious, and hands-on developer to lead development in our Agile-based Digital team. You will be responsible for supporting existing consumer web properties, maintaining integrations between our websites and third party systems, crafting creative solutions to manage content and deliver award-winning brand experiences, and creating highly engaging ecommerce features.
Applicants should have the ability to make a wide variety of on-site implementations using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and other programming languages, as well as possessing an understanding of CMS platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Responsible for the development of our brand and eCommerce webpages
- Drive website front-end usability, user experience and the effectiveness of information architecture
- Work with the Product Owner to identify high value, conversion-driving website features for development
- Optimize site performance and maximum conversion across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, & tablet)
- Develop new and maintain existing integrations between applications and third party systems
- Develop custom scripts and tools to automate processes
- Provide technical assistance to multiple teams throughout the organisation to ensure timely execution of merchandise and content updates
- Clearly communicate solutions to team members and clients both verbally and in written documentation
- Initiate and oversee technical site audits, manage web analytics, setup A/B tests and enhance search engine optimization
- Implement new digital technologies to maximize the consumer experience and expand product exposure.
- Ensures quality is of a high standard across multiple platforms

- Have demonstrable experience delivering high quality code, user experience, performance and accessibility
- Can conceptualize and deliver technical solutions that meet customer requirements and deliver high-impact results for Kano’s customers
- Want to be part of evolving our e-commerce stack into a multichannel proposition that fuels the next stage of Kano’s consumer growth
- Are comfortable working in a large frontend codebase with many stakeholders
- Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in web development with a commercial flair, deeply value design thinking, work hard to hit tight business deadlines and frequently deploy highly-creative and engaging web solutions to users.
- Strong experience in HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3
- Good experience in at least one JS framework, preferably Vue.js
- Solid UI development skills including responsive design
- Design web solutions that render consistently in different browsers
- Experience working with an ecommerce platform (Shopify is a bonus)
- Good understanding of API integration and various feed and data formats
- Must be legally allowed to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
NICE TO HAVES
- Full-stack development experience (MEAN or LAMP)
- Passionate about integrated devices
- Have an interest in UX practices
- Scrum master experience
