Humatics’ breakthrough microlocation system and analytics software comprise a Spatial Intelligence Platform™ that will revolutionize how people and machines locate, navigate and collaborate. A single Humatics system, using simple, inexpensive radio-frequency technology, can pinpoint multiple, moving targets with millimeter-scale precision, vastly outperforming existing systems at a fraction of the cost.
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to help design and build out the backend that powers Humatics’ suite of software applications. You will join a team of experienced and highly motivated electrical, RF, computer and robotics engineers. We’re eager to meet passionate people willing to join this team and help create the microlocation revolution.
Responsibilities
- Select technology for build and deployment
- Develop the model, control, and IPC underpinning Humatics’ software stack
- Develop database interfaces supporting data collection, analysis, and visualization
- Create support tools for solutions and field support
- Contribute to machine learning, pose estimation, gesture recognition, and implementation of algorithms
- Support application development and data analysis
- Develop best practices regarding documentation and testing, and participate in code reviews
Qualifications
- BS/MS CS
- 5+ years in a lead role building a system and framework from the ground up
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL
- Java development proficiency
- Demonstrated experience using cloud-based data storage service
- Comfortable with databases and engaging with tens of billions of entries
- Experience with provisioning servers and services
- Demonstrated experience with data analytics – collection, analysis, and visualization
- Experience with machine learning a plus
