AWS DevOps Engineer at Nuovo Solutions (Greenwood Village, CO)

We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a Cloud Infrastructure team that provides deployment and support for AWS hosted services.  The engineer will be responsible for systems administration, code deployment, continuous integration and infrastructure design. The engineer will work closely with the development and network operations teams to provide support where necessary. The person will be responsible for building and maintaining environments on Amazon Web Services.


Skills & Requirements



  • 1-5 years of experience working in Systems Engineering, Cloud infrastructure technologies, and micro-services within AWS

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and experience


Additional Job Requirements



  • Experience working with Unix and Linux operating systems; specifically troubleshooting and providing administration

  • Experience with performing support and administrative tasks within Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, OpenStack, or other cloud infrastructure technologies

  • Proficient in scripting and one or more programming languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell, Bash)

  • Experience with build & deploy tools (Jenkins)

  • Experience with Infrastructure provisioning tools such as Docker, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation

  • Proficient in monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana)

  • Experience deploying and coding micro services, as well as executing performance management (Auto Scaling)

  • Experience working with databases like SQL Server, MySQL, Cassandra or Hadoop

  • Experience providing 'on call' support on a rotating basis to resolve system/application issues after normal business hours
