Echo is an app for getting repeat prescriptions delivered. That is just where it starts though. We want to help people be more adherent to their medication, keeping them healthier and saving the NHS money. Our mission is to remove the barriers to adherence through elegant, user-focused design and technology.
You will work within the product engineering team to continually make our iOS app better than ever. Both by building new features and by improving existing ones. Being a health service we care deeply about quality and the little things really matter to us so you will be given the time to do your best work. You will work in a small cross-functional team comprising of product management, design, QA, and other mobile engineer (Android and iOS).
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working collaboratively on a codebase and openly discussing pull requests.
- Has a deep knowledge of design patterns commonly used in iOS and mobile apps in general
- Has a great knowledge of Objective-C and Swift (our app is written 95% in Swift)
- Believes that well written unit tests improve the stability of an app
- Has great communication skills and enjoys collaboration with designers, product managers and other engineers.
Bonus Points
- Experience working with GraphQL
- Experience working with apps that contain sensitive data e.g. health, finance
- Experience using motion and animation to bring delight to interactions
