Dimetor is building a management platform for autonomous drones. We are making the future of air services happen!
As a Senior Developer C++ you will be working at the very core of our platform: our algorithms that define our platforms capabilities. Drone routing, path optimization, fleet utilization, everything is in your hands to form and shape. You will be free in the research you do and the approach you take to solve the problems at hand. You will work together with our backend engineers to put the unique solutions you found and implemented into our ecosystem. It will take all the skills you have at your disposal to help us make our product the best and most performant UAV management platform worldwide.
You are the perfect candidate if you enjoy researching, prototyping and finetuning algorithms to solve novel problems. Our engineers are willing to walk the extra mile to make sure our solution is not only good, but great and beneficial for our customers. You will systematically look for weaknesses and areas for improvement in our approaches, and will be motivated by them to create even better solutions.
What challenges await you?
- Being a member of our algorithms team, you will be responsible for finding and implementing solutions for numerous different problems, for example how to navigate a drone from A to B, how to incorporate weather, how to select the best drone from a fleet of drones for the mission to be flown, etc.
- Research ways to do what we already do in a faster, more efficient, etc., way
- Implement your research in highest quality C++
- Simulate and test your solutions, and always question them if there couldn't be an even better way to do it
What do we expect from you?
- 3+ years of experience in building performance intensive applications
- An academic background in mathematics and/or computer science
- Very strong programming and architectural experience in C++ deployed on Linux
- You find creative solutions to tough problems. You are not only a great developer, you are also an architect, who is not afraid to pave the way for bigger and better things.
Good to have:
- Since we're in the aviation industry, it would be an advantage if you have an aviation background yourself or have basic knowledge of aviation terms and procedures
- Strong knowledge of other programming languages like Java and Python
- Experience with AWS or other IaaS/PaaS.
- Experience with Agile Methods such as Scrum or Kanban.
