As a Senior Software Engineer on the Integrations team, you will make an immediate impact on our products and clients by using the latest technologies such as Java 8, Spring Boot, Cassandra, and Kubernetes. You will be working on a variety of backend systems and data integration projects such as building data pipelines following a micro-services architecture and delivering RESTful web services for that empower our product.
Our versatile team takes pride in ownership and our engineers are involved right from the start in the architecture and design process. You would be working on innovative technologies ranging from API to IOT. Everything we build is well-tested and designed with automation in mind.
We are looking for self-motivated and intelligent individuals who take initiative, possess strong CS fundamentals, and can find the right balance between pairing and working independently. Using tools like Docker and Kubernetes to build 12Factor apps, our engineers are highly productive and learn valuable skills quickly. As a Software Engineer on the Integrations team, you can design, develop, and deploy your own projects and create value immediately.
Responsibilities
- Create applications and tools to support data capture, transformation, and publishing using the latest version of Java.
- Create automation to closely monitor incoming data for quality
- Collaborate with engagement managers and customers to resolve data problems
- Design and architect future tools and systems to enhance products
- Mentor junior team members.
- Take ownership and lead initiatives for the team
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience preferably in a fast-paced small to medium-sized company.
- Knowledge of Java and its ecosystem
- Experience developing distributed highly available services
- Familiarity with React or Angular
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL or Cassandra, respectively)
- Familiarity with automated testing (e.g., RSpec, JUnit, Mockito)
- Demand for data quality and consistency
- Strong desire for high-quality code and craftsmanship
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of web services ecosystem including REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and HTTP(S)
