Lead Developer (Backend & Fullstack) - Build Our Team! at Virtual Health Partners (New York, NY)

Can you lead the technical aspects of our platform, while also jumping in on the management side? We need someone who loves programming and problem solving, and also has the business savvy to build our in-house dev team. The ideal candidate will have experience with cross-functional teams, development leadership, and project management.  As the leading member of our development team, you will work with our onsite management team and our overseas development team.  You'll have a lead role in hiring, building and managing an onsite development team. Strong technical skills in .NET are required, with some familiarity with iOS and Android apps.

We are looking for a lead developer who is committed to proactive, hands-on work and is passionate about learning an innovative product and further improving it.

Job Responsibilities

• 
  
• Ensure continuous delivery of web, iOS, and Android products.
• 
  
• Ownership of technical solution from end to end, translating functional requirements into a finished product.
• 
  
• Maintain and improve development practices within a well-established code base, in alignment with our core values. These values include Agile development methodologies, automated and manual testing, comprehensive reporting and security, and compliance with Privacy, HIPAA and FDA Quality Management System requirements.
• 
  
• Ability to hire, train, and manage additional development team members.
• 
  
• Work closely with department leaders and development team to satisfy business requirements for feature requests and major releases.
• 
  

Experience Requirements

• 
  
• Experience in similar roles building technically complex software, ideally using Microsoft .NET or Enterprise Java frameworks.
• 
  
• Experience with Agile development processes, source control, unit testing, reporting and analytics, SQL, and IT compliance requirements.
• 
  
• Applied knowledge of cloud and hybrid solutions such as Azure and Amazon.
• 
  

• 
  
• Strong collaboration skills, especially with non-technical managers and remote teams.
• 
  
• Ability to hire, manage, and coach an internal team.
• 
  
• Advanced interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, in English.
• 
  
• Located in NYC metro area
