What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Mainframe Application Developer, you will join the CIBC’s Personal Banking Products Technology to actively participate in the technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform applications to meet business and stakeholder needs with a focus on client experience and innovation.
How You’ll Succeed
- Programming: Design and develop cost-effective and innovative solutions to meet business objectives while also maintaining existing applications. Provide recommendations to senior managers on new technology trends and continuous integration best practices
- Production Support: Conduct production support and user acceptance testing to troubleshoot complex problems on applications and technologies
- Coordination: Actively participate in the analysis and documentation of requirements, estimations for assigned work packages and coordination for end-to-end implementation of program specific solutions

- You can demonstrate experience in: IBM Mainframe Application Development, IMS, COBOL, Assembler, JCL, ISPF, Change Management. You have a pulse on innovative mobile technology and Transaction Processing Systems. You also have experience writing Application Design Documents, as well as Unit Test and UI Automation tests.
- You have strong knowledge of: Object oriented design and development, Endevor, and MACRO 4 Suite of Tools (including DumpMaster, InSync, TraceMaster)
- It’s an advantage if: You have a strong understanding of risk mitigation and security best practices for transactional data.
