Splunk Administrator/Developer at CBTS (Phoenix, AZ)

Are you passionate about Splunk? As our Splunk Administrator, you will provide strategic day-to-day administration and support of our Splunk servers to ensure maximum availability and up-time. You will help define and develop monitoring architecture paths to enable achievement of the business functions and technology infrastructure group strategy. You will also assist is leading our key log management and analysis platform, as well as, design automation.

What You Will Be Doing

• Splunk administration - install, develop, and maintain the application servers

• MUST have at least 3+ years of previous LINUX Administration experience

• Interface with customers, team members and product support personnel

• Assist with advanced issue resolution across the enterprise

• Understand, interpret and develop content for products to meet internal and external customer requirements, and can write recommendations on additional content

• Contribute to the design, development and execution of system changes

• Ability to perform basic scripting tasks with Splunk to automate repeatable processes

• Mentor the organization on the capabilities and technical knowledge of the Splunk environment

What You Need for this Position

• 5 years of experience administering complex and distributed Linux environments

• Senior level experience with Splunk administration preferably with high-availability systems within a production environment

• Experience installing Splunk forwarders and log collection

• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues swiftly and fully

• In-depth knowledge of TCP, IP, UDP, SSL/TLS protocols

• Experience managing a production environment

• Excellent communication skills, strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

• Python and Bash scripting is a plus

• Automation experience with Salt, Ansible, Puppet is a plus

• Splunk Admin, Architect, or Architect II Certification is a huge plus
