Job Title: Software Test Engineer II

Description:
The Common Retail Services within client is responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, governance and management of a brand-new API platform. As a Software Engineer II in Test on the API Platform team, you will be responsible for building and enhancing automated test coverage for applications/tools/frameworks built by the Retail API Platform team. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced agile environment. This position requires strong design and communication skills to effectively work with management, team members and business contacts. We have aggressive goals over the next couple of years and are looking for candidates with a passion for APIs and a can-do attitude!
Requirements:
· In depth understanding of API and Web UI interfaces
· 4+ years of End-to-End Automated testing experience with test automation tools (Selenium Webdriver, TestNG and Rest-Assured preferred)
· 5+ years engineering experience with various programming languages (JavaScript/React/Node and Java preferred)
· Design and develop QA automation test cases using Selenium with Java
· Experience using BDD/TDD tools like Cucumber or similar
· Webservices knowledge with SOAP/JSON/RESTful API experience
· Understanding of Cloud domain applications and platform- AWS preferred
· Strong knowledge in building CI/CD pipeline from a test perspective and integrating automation scripts with the pipeline
· Experience with source control (Git, GitHub Flow)
· Develops new and maintains existing test automation suites, using the agreed upon test automation framework for all applications that automation currently supports
· Coordinates regression test automation activities across supported applications
· Establishes processes to continually review and select manual test cases for automation test suites.
· Partners with feature developers and other automation engineers to build the tools and infrastructure to ensure production code is thoroughly tested to the higher standards
· Ability to write manual test cases and execute as needed
· Good understanding of Agile frameworks and tools like Rally, JIRA etc.
