Senior Information Security Engineer - United States at U.S. Bank (Minneapolis, MN)

U.S. Bank is seeking an Information Security Engineer with demonstrated competence, IRS clearance (MAJOR Plus) and experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Applicants should have a strong understanding of data science with proficiency in SQL database queries and SQL reporting. In addition, they should have a hands on knowledge of working with Tenable security Center and enterprise scanning products in general.

Qualifications

 

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science, or equivalent work experience
- Five or more year of experience in information security
- Two or more years of experience in IT infrastructure management, application architecture, risk management, middleware technology, and IT project management

-Active IRS Clearance (Preferred)

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Extensive experience in:
- Technical Understanding and administration of Tenable Baseline Standards and Scanning
- Being a team player and good communicator in a technical environment
-Can work in an autonomous manner with minimal guidance and support
- Strong understanding of data analysis and experience in writing complex queries through a variety of analytical tools, such as Python, SQL, PowerShell, PERL
- Strong knowledge of development lifecycles and software engineering best practice
- Strong SQL Database and Reporting knowledge (Required)
- Strong understanding of IT system databases and data modelling
- Understanding of vulnerability management concepts
- IS standards, procedures, policy
- Advanced skills in analyzing technical and IT security issues
- Ability to work with technical people and engage on complex problems
- Understanding of underlying products supporting critical infrastructure scanning
- Comfortable in bringing complex issues to resolution stage
- General knowledge of project management concepts and procedures
- Knowledge of security best practice standards, such as NIST, ISO
- Regulatory knowledge of working with SOX, PCI, GLBA, GDPR.
- Technical writing/documentation
- Change control process
- Product and vendor evaluation
