Our Houston-based client is seeking a ServiceNow Administrator for a full-time, permanent employment opportunity. 


Position Overview:

The ServiceNow Administrator is responsible for all levels of administration and management to support the company's IT Service Management (ITSM) tool, ServiceNow. This will include the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement for a portfolio of ITSM processes for continuous tracking, reporting, and trending.

This role will work closely with IT and Business teams to develop and enhance ServiceNow capabilities, facilitating rollouts of new applications, enhancements and new modules. The role will implement ServiceNow customizations including, but not limited to: Client Scripts, UI policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Business Rules, workflow administration, report setup, and data imports.

Essential duties and Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as main point of contact for training, support, administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including design, development, planning, implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining enhancements and integrations between the ServiceNow platform and external systems
  • Responsible for monitoring system health and managing platform upgrades, development, QA, and production environments
  • Recommend and contribute to development of best practices and standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining documentation related to the ServiceNow platform
  • Responsible for producing reports and dashboards based on defined measures, metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Responsible for recommending improvements regarding the platform, processes and reporting
  • Responsible for user management and support related to the ServiceNow platform

Qualifications and Competencies:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Experience working in ITIL Service Management organization
  • Extensive understanding of ITIL business processes
  • Strong working knowledge of the ServiceNow core architecture, workflows, API, and ITSM module
  • 3+ years experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and development of ServiceNow. Candidates shall possess the skill to develop on the ServiceNow platform including creation and/or customization
  • 3+ years with working or developing in any one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, PHP, C, Java, Perl, HTML or HTML 5.

Licensing and Certification:

  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
  • ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification
  • ServiceNow Application Developer Certification

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in ServiceNow as a System Administrator configuring core ServiceNow modules including Service Catalog, Incident/problem, Asset Management, Reporting and Configuration
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-pace environment
  • Strong customer service skills and demonstrated interest in continuous improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences including senior level management. Ability to clearly communicate technical subject matter to a non-technical audience. Strong inter-personal skills in a diverse cultural environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities and requirements.

Working Environment:

Work is usually performed in an office or remote via internal tools

Travel:

Must have up to date drivers license

Travel to other branches is minimal


Physical Demands:

Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of computer hardware

Ability to speak to and hear customers and/or other employees via phone or in person
