Senior Database Administrator at Accelya Group (Houston, TX)

 Key Responsibilities

·         Manage 24 x 7 x 365 system DB operations, DB Solutioning for performance improvement & DB Server Support for Production, Development and Internal IT infrastructure

·         Ensuring installation, configuration & maintenance of Oracle Database, RAC & associated ASM setups, Golden Gate, Data Guard.

·         Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Middleware Applications involving Oracle Web Logic Server.

·         Good working knowledge of job scheduling and monitoring tools

·         SQL Query tuning and raising SQL related issues with application team

·         BAU Support as and when required

·         Ensure databases Hardening and performance tuning

·         Ensure monitoring of Database instances, disk partitions, Table spaces & listeners

·         Database Patch management

·         Ensure Database Backups & Restorations and experience in Oracle Recovery Manager.

·         Routine Database Administration support/mentoring to team members

·         Ensure database security is implemented to safeguard the business data

·         Keen troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills

·         Experience in shell scripts to monitor Oracle Database/ performance/Locks/Backups and processes automation.

Qualification

Graduate in any stream with computer background (B.E. Preferred)
