PayLease is currently seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to support and build the infrastructure for our online payments platform. The ideal candidate will be a driven, agile engineer working on a small, focused team providing reliable, scalable and innovative infrastructure. A high degree of teamwork and flexibility are essential for this position.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in an Operations or Engineering role
- 2+ years of experience with modern OO programming; preferably with PHP and/or JAVA
- Experience with AWS - EC2 Instances, CloudFormation and other AWS Services
- Experience working with Configuration Management Tools (Puppet, Ansible, etc.)
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Systems (Code Build, Code Pipeline, Jenkins, etc).
- Proficiency in writing scripts using a standard language (Bash, Ruby, Python, etc)
- Familiarity with the Atlassian Tools Suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
- Familiarity with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/ECR, Fargate)
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging and alerting tools (Graylog, PagerDuty, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Familiarity with IP networking concepts such as VPN, DNS, load balancers, firewalls
Preferred Requirements:
- AWS Certification(s)
- Route53 Experience
- Knowledge of No SQL / SQL Databases (MySQL, MongoDB, etc)
- Experience with enterprise search infrastructure (Elastic, SOLR, Lucene)
- Understanding of systems engineering, design and architecture
