POSITION
To further cultivate our quality-centric engineering culture at Vistage, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer with Automation and CRM testing experience. You will work under the guidance of QA Directors Leadership in building tools that expedite and facilitate the companys software testing efforts. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to teamwork, problem-solving and developing great testing frameworks. Experience in Salesforce, testing custom applications across multiple platforms is a huge value add. Engineering team at Vistage utilizes agile development methodologies (Scrum and Kanban) to deploy new features to our ever growing client base.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Review specifications to design an effective manual and automated test approach
· Create, prioritize, and organize test cases into logical suites for both automated and manual execution in test case management tool
· Collaborate with other Software Engineers and QAEs to deliver well-documented and well-tested features
· Design and define test framework requirements and develop modules to automate feature test cases
· Automate test cases for functional, regression, performance, and load tests to reduce manual test execution time
· Execute manual and automated test cases, debug and report results
· Work with QA Director and team to increase manual and automated test coverage
· Research evolving automation and testing trends
· Lead product Demo and perform scrum master duties if needed
· Utilize test and development best practices, patterns, and processes within the engineering team
· Mentor, share knowledge with the team on automation best practices, patterns and processes
· Work in a fast paced agile test environment
· Continually improve automation framework reliability, coverage and scope
KNOWLEDGE
· Degree in Computer Science preferred
· 4 to 6 years of experience developing and executing functional test cases for custom business applications
· At least 2 years of experience testing multi-platform, like java, .net, WordPress, angular, etc.
· At least 2 years of experience in creating and maintaining automation test cases
· Some experience or knowledge developing data driven and data centric tests
· Understand API architecture and tools for API Testing
· Through understanding of Agile methodologies, QA methodologies
· Excellent test plan and test coverage documentation skills
· Solid skill in analysis, decision-making and problem solving
· Ability to work collaboratively with onsite and offshore team to achieve the company and project goals
· A high degree of inquisitiveness and an eagerness to learn at a detailed and abstract level
· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
· Ability to execute duties under the pressure of deadlines
· Participate in establishing project plans, estimate work and monitor progress against milestones
· Conduct test case reviews to ensure scenarios accurately capture business functionality
TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Design, influence and drive quality and testability of Vistage software
· Knowledge and experience in SalesForce platform, i.e, Standard and Custom objects, SOQL queries, Developer Console, Admin certification (desired)
· Expertise in using browser debugging console, multiple browsers and mobile platform
· Intermediate experience with team collaboration tools like Jira, confluence, Zephyr, version control
· Provide expert level test automation to grow overall test coverage across the Vistage application solutions (UI, Web Services, and DB)
· Implement and promote a new tool, framework
· Analyze and implement new tools
· Understand Page Object Model design pattern (Selenium Webdriver, Katalon)
· Beginner to intermediate knowledge in writing SQL queries
· Provar (Test automation for SalesForce)
· Webservice testing and automation experience using Postman
· Full working knowledge of Git and its best practices
· Work with DEV team to move automated efforts to CI
