The Select Group is seeking a junior Python developer to join one of our top clients in downtown Raleigh, NC. Really looking for a Python developer with a data science background. Python Developer Requirements
- 3 years of experience programming in Python
- Experience working with container platforms (such as: OpenShift)
- Experience in Git and working on projects with multiple contributors
- Experience with Python web frameworks (i.e., Django or Flask)
- Prior experience working in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with front-end development
- Familiarity with HTML5/ CSS3/ Javascript
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a highly collaborative team environment
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Development of critical analytics capabilities in Python in collaboration with data scientists and ensuring that the codebase is robust
- Working with front-end engineers to ensure that the output of the analytics code can be displayed in a responsive fashion
- Implementing database connections logic for improving the automation of the solutions and platforms
- Help develop and maintain production codebase. This would include taking the lead in managing/maintaining the git repository
- Write testable code and take the lead on implementing testing framework. Also, guide other code contributors on testing and best practices
