What are you going to do:


This senior architect role will partner broadly across the eCommerce business, evangelizing the art of the possible, and provide thought leadership and technical guardrails guiding the delivery of eCommerce technology solutions to provide our customers an excellent online shopping experience.

As a member of the Platform Strategy team, the Enterprise Architect will report to the head of Platform Strategy with a focus in the Business and Data Architecture domains. The EA will help in the architecture of an eCommerce and Supply Chain business, structure technology projects and policies to achieve desired business results. The EA will stay on top of industry trends and disruptions using architecture principles and practices through enterprise architectural planning.

What are you going to bring to the table:


            Define, curate, and communicate technology standards, reference architectures, roadmaps, strategies, and models to drive product lead ecommerce initiatives.

            Provide technical thought leadership to business and technology teams to improve the customer ecommerce journey

            Works with vendors and consultants to find ways to improve the companys products and services.

            Maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with business leaders and provide strategic technical leadership.

            Designs and puts into practice improvement and business transformation initiatives.

            Publish and manage holistic views of our current and future business and technical landscapes

            Facilitate and continuously improve our Architecture Review and API Governance processes.

            Educate and mentor on architecture topics and technology trends

            Transfers ideas to research and development and eventually to workable projects.

            Collaborates with different departments to get new projects off the ground.

                  Strong ability to explain complex problems and solutions through abstract methods to simplify and quantify the complexity in well contained groups.

                  Strong ability to communicate visually through models, graphs, charts, and diagrams based on industry standard references like BIZBOK and TOGAF

      must be able to present past work examples

Education & Experience

                  Bachelor's degree in CS or relevant experience.

                  10+ years of technical architecture experience at the enterprise level

                  3+years of supervisory management experience

                  Demonstrate advanced knowledge of software, cloud, infrastructure, data center, mobile, security, and IoT technologies and how they interrelate to one another within the enterprise.

                  Knowledge in all of the following technical domains:

o   EA frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, FEAF/DoDAF, NIST, or similar framework)

o   EA UML-based tools (e.g. UNICOM System Architect, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or similar tool)

o   System development lifecycle management

o   Database development lifecycle manage

o   As a Service models (e.g. SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google)

o   API, SOA, and MSA integration methods.

o   Modern application frameworks such as GraphQL, Pub/Sub, Streaming Services.

o   Web, mobile, cloud, application, and infrastructure (compute, storage, network) architecture
o   Database development lifecycle manage
o   Database design for relational and object based data models
o   Experienced solving for different data persistence methodologies like the CAP Theorem
o   Data persistence strategies like caching, cache invalidation, and the challenges of distributed data
