EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of experience as a contracts specialist/negotiator or lawyer, dealing with technology agreements  (Latam JD a plus)

  • Excellent speaking, drafting and negotiating skills inPortuguese, Spanish and English

  • Experience supporting multiple jurisdictions in a multinational environment

  • Hard working, high integrity, well organized and able to manage several tasks simultaneously

  • Knowledge of software revenue recognition principles a plus

    RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Work on a variety of matters sent to Legal for review or consultation, under the supervision and guidance of the Associate General Counsel for Latam.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including software licensing and technology services, partner and other agreements to achieve acceptable terms consistent with company policies.

  • Review of request for responses (RFP) responses for private and public sector clients.

  • Provide counsel to internal areas (Sales, Services, Support, License Management, IT, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Vendor Management).

  • Be able to translate and update standard contract clauses and other documentation in accordance with US templates.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish and English

  • Work independently, with moderate supervision, and awareness of when to involve a senior attorney

  • Handle deadlines under high pressure

  • Work well in a team environment

  • Prioritize and efficiently manage work-loads in a fast-paced environment and/or under strict time constraints

  • Travel as required by the business quarterly to LATAM
