Function Description : Position in question is in the Global Individual Customer Management Decision Science team based out of Bangalore.
Purpose of the Role : The candidate will work on evaluating and creating new features for the next generation of global individual customer management models
Responsibilities :
1. Application of Machine Learning (both inhouse and open source) techniques for feature engineering purposes
2. Evaluating new structured and unstructured data sources for incremental value addition to Customer models

3. Partnering with other Teams to implement features and develop System Capabilities to accommodate new algorithms and techniques
4. Develop Data products that can be leveraged by the Amex Decision science community
5. Help upskill the team in usage of Machine learning techniques and open source platforms

Qualifications :
Past Experience :
1. Preferred past Experience in analytics industry

2. Prior experience in usage of Python/Pyspark and other open source algorithms
Academic Background : Master's degree in a quantitative discipline
Function skills and Capabilities :
- Ability to integrate information from different sources in a coherent manner and interpret data to bring out key trends & identify opportunity areas
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Technical Skills/Capabilities :
- At least 4 years of Experience in Python/Pyspark programming & Expertise in contemporary open source algorithms & usage
Knowledge of Platforms : Knowing Amex Modeling & Deployment Platforms will be beneficial
Behavioral Skills/Capabilities :
- Ability to train and upskill the team in usage of python/pyspark and other open source algorithms
- Ability to develop a technically strong Data Science team
