Web Applications Manager at AP Professionals (Dallas, TX)

This is a full time direct hire opportunity for our client in Coppell, TX.  

The Web Application Manager must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. The position involves working in an Agile development environment and communicates with project stakeholders daily. The position, which reports to the Director of Development and Analytics, will require the incumbent to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

• Supervise a team of Microsoft developers assigning tasks and monitoring progress

• Working with Microsoft Azure and Office 365 design and development

• Develop software applications using current Microsoft technologies and programming languages

• Meet with customers to determine requirements

• Translate business requirements into database and software designs

• Provide time estimates for new development, proposals and change orders

• Utilize industry best practices where applicable

• Implement and maintain existing and new web architecture landscapes

• Design error recovery strategies and procedures

• Supervise staff augmentation resources, as required

• Development Responsibilities
• • Develop new and enhance existing web applications using Microsofts .NET framework

  • Configure and develop sites within SharePoint Online environments

  • Design and build databases, queries and reports to supply data using SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and PowerBI as needed

  • Support ASAP and Agile project implementation methodology
• Production Responsibilities
• • Troubleshoot production issues reported by customers or proactively identified

  • Perform web server administrative tasks in IIS

  • Perform database administrative tasks in SQL ServerMonitor system performance

  • Manage web server security and logins

  • Deploy developed applications to QA and Production systems

  • Perform Web application upgrades and install new releases/patches
• QA/User Acceptance Testing Responsibilities
• • Initiate individual projects and insures quality development

  • Put policies and procedures through real-world test

  • Oversee project deliverables

  • Reinforce best practices

  • Move towards self-sustainability and automation

Position Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in related field with a minimum 10+ years of experience or Masters and 7+ years or equivalent experience

• Experience working with Microsofts .NET framework, C#, Visual Studio and related technologies (certification a plus), preferring experience with ADO.net [EF and LINQ], WF, WCF, WPF

• Experience with SharePoint Online administration, Office 365, Azure, SQL Server design & development, web architectures, sites, applications, services and related technologies, preferring ASP.net MVC, Modern Web API, HTML/HTML5, XML, REST, JavaScript [jQuery] and SharePoints web services and APIs, Microsoft IIS & Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)

• Experienced in Agile development methodologies

• Knowledge of mobile development tools

• Knowledge of standard diagramming a plus

• Good English verbal and written communications skills
