Senior Cloud Network Engineer
Location: Dallas, Texas
Top finance company is building out a new team in a highly visible function. The team is responsible for designing and developing tools to protect their sensitive data inside and outside of the cloud by building and easy to use, secure, open source encryption tools and libraries. We are looking for data driven people to help us build the next generation cloud network.
Summary:
- The Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for architecting, designing and implementing automation to multiple facets of the platform.
- Develop our OSI network model, TCP/IP, and Ethernet.
- Strong network routing protocols, ISP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN.
- Architect, design and build deployment automation for the platform.
- Building a scalable digital security system that is core to AWS security services.
- Responsible for AWS KMS / HSM and secrets manager.
- Implementing VPC, AWS Direct connect / gateway, NACL and security groups.
- Understanding of available load balancer types and configuration of auto scaling.
- Automation using Terraform.
- Understanding of Cloud watch / cloud trail and API gateway.
- Enable rolling upgrades to the platform.
- Creating a strategy for blue/green deployment.
- Adopt best practices for certificate and key management including working with AWS HSM.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform for AWS resource provisioning and management.
Experience:
- 5+ years with advanced networking and Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, FTP, HTTP and routing in distributed networks.
- Experience with AWS, in a Linux based system, docker containers
- Experience in Terraform and Ansible for scripting infrastructures
- Configuring of Key management products AWS Security features (AWS KMS preferred)
- Exposure to configuring large operational systems including certificate management, VPN, or other various backend systems
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Ccience or Network Engineering, Information Systems
