SAP LAMA at Modis (Dallas, TX)

Modis is currently seeking an SAP Landscape Management consultant in Dallas, TX.

The scope of the Project:

This project will provide services related to SAP Landscape Management 3.0 (LaMa) implementation project. The objective of this ten-week project is to implement LaMa to automate the provisioning of N+1 development and N+1 quality instances for eight SAP production server landscapes. Candidate will not be the Architect for this role due do another candidate has been identified. This open position will have the candidate assisting with the implementations more so like a Systems Administrator.

Important notes:

LaMa = SAP Landscape Management 3.0

Start of the project will be on site, then move to remote, or a combination between onsite and remote. Estimated about 50/50%.

Job Description:

• Assist customer to build a POC to ensure all parts are working together, i.e., verify the end-end configuration.
• One Development system will be configured in LaMa per SAP best practices and one new N+1 landscape will be built.

Worker with the customer to validate the working environment which includes:

Validate the LaMa installation and setup

Host agent configuration

Profile parameter validation

Configure LaMa

Install PCA for ABAB, JAVA

Configure network, storage, virtual machines

Build initial N+1 system to validate

Configure Production Servers Service Description - Assist customer to configure each of eight Production servers into LaMa to enable the build of their associated N+1 Dev and QA systems.

Each Production server consists of:

One ASCS or one SCS

Two application servers

Oracle RAC database on Oracle Enterprise Linux

Tasks associated with this activity include, but are not limited to:

Host agent configuration

Profile Parameter Validation

Configuration in LaMa

Install PCA for ABAP, JAVA

Configure network, storage, virtual machines

Provide knowledge transfer

• Candidate must have past implementation experience.
