If you answered yes to these questions and want to share in the excitement and challenge of building world class software solutions within the fastest growing division of Amazon then come be a part of the AWS Storage Gateway team.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon, with over a million active customers in 190 countries around the world. AWSs code serves millions of requests per second and it does so with sub-second latency and in a fault tolerant manner.
AWS Storage Gateway is a service connecting an on-premises software appliance with cloud-based storage to provide seamless and secure integration between an organizations on-premises IT environment and AWSs storage infrastructure. The service enables customers to securely leverage the AWS cloud for a range backup, archiving, disaster recovery and file sharing use cases. AWS Storage Gateway supports industry-standard storage protocols (e.g. NFS, SMB, iSCSI) that work with your existing applications. It provides low-latency performance by maintaining data on customers on-premises storage hardware while asynchronously synchronizing data with AWS cloud storage, where it is encrypted and securely stored in the Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) or Amazon Glacier.
If you enjoy creating software and solutions which have real customer impact than this is your chance to join a service team early in the life of a growing service and help shape its future development. As a software development engineer on the AWS Storage Gateway team you will be a key contributor to the future direction and growth of the service. You will become part of a team of highly productive and results-oriented professionals. You will help define, design, and implement the next set of features and functionality. You will investigate operational issues, resolve customer challenges and help maintain and enhance the operational excellence that creates loyal AWS customers. In short, as a member this team you will be given the opportunity to grow your technical and professional skills while helping Storage Gateway and AWS grow.
