Front-end Software Engineer- healthcare technology at Pulse Digital (New York, NY)

The Pulse Digital team is working alongside our strategy consulting affiliate, The Dedham Group, in developing various web-based applications to help our clients better understand the complex landscape of oncology. Our team is looking for someone who is curious and passionate about building web applications with the latest javascript technologies.

The Software Engineer (Front-end) role is for someone who’s excited about crafting elegant user interfaces and improving the overall experience for users. In this role, you will work closely with other designers and product specialists in delivering disruptive products for our clients in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry.

Bachelor's Degree
1 - 3 years of industry experience minimum
You write clean, performant JS code
You have a deep understanding of cross-browser differences, JS performance tradeoffs, and profiling and debugging tools
You are passionate about building clean and modern user interfaces that enable users to solve their problems.
You can work within tight deadlines to deliver products
You have working knowledge of NodeJS and Redux ecosystem
You have experience and knowledge with React and Webpack
Proven ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems
Demonstrated ability to learn continuously, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
You are interested in growing your skills and learning about emerging technologies
You have SASS/CSS skills

Preferred:

Basic knowledge of GraphQL
Science or engineering degree preferred
Experience with server-side rendering techniques & working in test-driven development environment
Experience with JIRA or other project tracking software
