Report directly to the CTO and collaborate with our team of 15+ web and mobile engineers. Your initial responsibilities will be to:
- Build and maintain custom deployment and monitoring software
- Manage AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3 and CloudFront
- Implement data privacy and data protection policies companywide
- Supervise security consultants to perform vulnerability assessments and infrastructure hardening
Our company is growing fast, so you may in the future be called upon to:
- Recruit, interview, supervise and coach junior engineers
- Define, document and communicate technical policies and best practices
- Work directly with executive management, product managers, partners, vendors and customers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
- 5 years of professional experience in software engineering or IT
- 1 year of hands-on devops experience
- Thorough knowledge of AWS
- Experience recruiting and supervising a team of engineers
- Comfortable leading meetings and working with executive management
