Position Description

Walmart Technology is looking for exceptional research engineers to join our team focused on delivering computer vision-enabled capabilities that can increase revenue, reduce costs and drive a differentiated brand experience that serve 200M+ customers a week.

As a member of our vision team part of our Digital Enterprise Services division, you will have the opportunity to work on massive data in Walmart. You will be responsible for creating cutting-edge algorithms and products that can understand visual environments and interact with users in different ways.

We are looking for people with the right blend of technology skills, business knowledge and a passion for revolutionizing Digital Enterprise Services. Be a part of the digital transformation revolution!

  • Explore and prototype solutions or products at intersection of computer vision, image processing, applied machine learning by leverage existing or new vision or machine learning algorithms.
  • Solid understanding on linear algebra, image processing, computer vision and machine learning knowledge.
  • Develop and prototype computer vision algorithms in Python or C++
  • Familiar with one or two deep learning frameworks: Tensorflow, Pytorch/Caffe2, Keras etc.
  • Hands on experience in one or more of the following areas: real-time object detection/segmentation/recognition/tracking, visual scene understanding, 3d vision, augmented reality
  • Experience with C++/CUDA/TensorRT and model compression is a plus
  • M.Sc./PhD in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or similar technical degree. Ph.D. degree is preferred.
  • Strong publication records in leading conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NIPS, ICML or PAMI is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science and 6 years' data science experience OR Master of Science and 4 years' data science experience OR PhD.
