- Project manage complex and large scale cross-team, cross-functional initiatives. Interface with engineering managers and engineers to estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources. Track progress, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks and communicate status to upper management and project stakeholders. Engage and energize the project teams to achieve aggressive goals.
- Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress. Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities. Drive results proactively.
- Understand technical implementation at the architecture level and propose technical alternatives when necessary. Ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be highly effective. Develop broad domain and technical knowledge.
- Help manage the cross-functional strategic planning and business planning process, leading conversations with key stakeholders to develop concepts for strategic initiatives, and developing those into detailed program / project plans
- Share program/project process frameworks, tools, and best practices that can be adopted throughout the organization. Improve product development and delivery.
- Produce technical specifications and software designs based on product requirements for a new innovative product platform in the payment industry.
- Work collaboratively with Business Analysts and Product Owners to ensure that functional requirements are met.
- Create and execute comprehensive Unit Tests(technical) on developed software
- Define and detail service level targets and quality objectives
- Develop innovative and creative solutions for the payment industry.
- Be the gatekeeper of quality for all deliverables.
- Monitor, escalate and communicate every detail wherever required related to project during the cycles of development
- Detail-oriented, highly organized
- Extensive project planning, leadership and analysis experience with significant advanced experience as a Project Manager leading large scale IT projects independently is required.
- Demonstrated capacity to anticipate obstacles and plan for contingencies.
- Excellent communicator; comfortable and effective in opening channels of communication, listening to others, and cultivating a healthy, productive, and ongoing dialogue.
- Demonstrated effective writing skills including the ability to analyze data from multiple sources, conduct research, perform analysis of diverse information, and prepare and present meaningful reports and briefs.
- Hands-on programming experience is a great value add
- Experience in the payment industry is required. Knowledge of payment transaction processing is important
- Knowledge of Security, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI
- Knowledge of OSS and linux is a great addon
- Relevant PM Certification or education (PMP or equivalent) is preferred
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Project or other project management tools.
- Strong foundational knowledge of user applications, SDLC, B2B applications and technologies (servers, storage, databases, etc).
- Experience with system interfaces, Request For Proposals (RFPs), Client servicing, interfacing technical and extensive product and project documentation.
Qualification : Engg Graduate preferred, MBA is a good add-on, or professional certification on PM
Required Skill Set : (In case of IT requirements) WEB SERVICES, API, project management tools, bug reporting tools,
Relevant Industry : Finance, Fintech, Banking, Payments.
