Work youll do

 

As a Specialist Senior within our Cyber Risk team, you will: 

* Serve as a security advisor on risk matters, technical and non- technical, involving the identification and prioritization of security risks throughout the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
* Collaborate within the client and at Intelligence Community (IC) security meetings and working groups; collaboration includes examining risk analysis, mitigation security considerations, and providing technical guidance when applying security controls throughout the SDLC (internal and external)
* Support client objectives and positions at internal and external information security forums and cyber defense meetings, conferences, technical exchange meetings, and working groups; communicate meeting results to the client, and track/report action items for the client
* Prepare risk assessments (i.e., identify and document risks to systems and systems residual risk) using NIST SP 800-30, 800-39, and client policies
Support the development and documentation of risk assessment results and recommendations using identified threats, applicable vulnerabilities, and likelihood of occurrence within the context of client risk tolerances
* Develop risk mitigation strategies, solutions, and recommendations to maintain or reduce components, systems, or the enterprises security risk
Ensure security considerations and risk tradeoffs are integrated throughout the SDLC and that residual risk remains at an acceptable tolerance level during the RMF continuous monitoring phase
* Develop, document, and assess measures and metrics related to cyber security assessments and risk acceptance
* Provide recommendations on how to improve the timeliness of implementing mandatory federal, IC, and client security policies and procedures
* Promote an understanding and use of Enterprise Security Services (ESS), common controls, and other security services to enable consistent, efficient, and effective security control implementation throughout the SDLC

Qualifications

 

Required:

* Hold a current, active and maintain a TS/SCI U.S. Government security clearance
* Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or related field
* 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience
* Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
* Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
* Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
* Hold or earn an IAT/IAM Level III security certification within 6 months of hire.  Certifications include: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CASP, CCNP Security, GCED, GCIH, or GSLC.

 

Preferred:

* Experience performing risk assessments, risk mitigation strategies, solutions, and recommendations to maintain information systems security risk at an acceptable tolerance level
* Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Proven skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
* Experience managing client relationships
* Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
* Strong communication skills and the ability to advise clients on technical designs, implementations, and solutions to protect against cyber security attacks
* A&A (RMF) SME with risk management experience
Understanding of cyber defensive architecture and technologies required to protect, detect, and respond to cyber threats and attacks
* Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts
* Knowledge of and experience with Federal security policies, regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA, FIPS, ICD, NIST, & CNSSI.
